Introduction
Rural environment was a pool of resources needed for Sustainable development. Over the years, it has been neglected; regarded as abode of superstition, poverty, lethargy, low income and low productivity. It is imperative to have a sociological perspective of desirable transformation in this crucial environment. Against this backdrop, this congress focuses on the underlying sub-themes:
1. Enhanced Livelihood
2. Politics, Democracy and Governance
3. Food Systems and Agro- value chain
4. Gender and Youths in Entrepreneurship
5. Energy, Infrastructure and Environmental Sustainability
6. Conflict, Food Security and Poverty
7. NGOs, CBOs and FBOs Activities in Policy and Advocacy
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND FULL PAPERS
Abstracts and full papers are hereby invited from intending participants for the 28th Annual Congress. Abstract of each paper should not be more than 250 words, with at least three key words provided. Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word file using single line spacing. The full paper should be structured to include: Title; Author(s) names with affiliation, correspondent author and e-mail, Abstract, Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations and Reference. Note: Tables and Figures are expected to be within the text. Empirical and review papers will be considered. Papers should have depth and geographical spread for policy relevance. Papers should be written using the APA citation style, the full paper should not be more than 11 pages including the list of references. All accepted papers would be presented with PowerPoint.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
Abstracts should be submitted at the conference website http://rusan.org.ng/conference. Participants are expected to come to the conference with a copy of the full paper to aid their presentation. PowerPoint file of the slides for the presentation should be submitted via e-mail attachment to the Congress Organising Committee (COC) at rusan.congress2019@gmail.com and copy rusancongress@gmail.com.

Submission of abstracts - 31 August 2019
Submission of PowerPoint files to the COC - 30 September 2019
Submission of manuscripts for conference proceedings - 30 November 2019
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:
1. No person shall be allowed to present more than two (2) papers at the Congress.
2. Authors will register their papers at the editorial desk. You are NOT expected to deposit any hard copy at the paper registration desk.
