The call for cases of the XIII conference on 'fragile areas' (Rovigo, Italy 22-23 March 2019) is on line http://www.areefragili.it/fragile-areas-2019; theme: rural populism.
You do not find that term in the title because the aim of the conference is to collect positive political reactions to authoritarianism and apathy of countryside, the three Ps: people, politics and participation. The call is international as populism is a phenomenon revealed in many countries.
The abstract (up to 2000 characters), in English or Italian describing the electoral trends, political manifestations and civic engagement of rural people must be sent by December 31, 2018 to Giorgio Osti (giorgio.osti@dispes.units.it) and Sara Morelli (areefragili.rovigo@gmail.com).
