The INRAe (the French national institute for research on agriculture, food and the environment) is likely to open a position early next year for a research scientist on a full-time, permanent basis, for its Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Sciences Innovations Sociétés (LISIS). LISIS is a centre that specializes in the study of science, technology and innovation in society. It looks at contemporary sociotechnical transformations linked to the development and diffusion of scientific knowledge and technologies in governance, markets and organizations. The job profile consists in the conduct of research on sociotechnical transformations in agriculture and food production, as concern, notably, the digitalization and datafication of these systems and social worlds, using a combination of sociological and computer methods. Competencies and skills in both social sciences, notably science and technology studies, and data analysis as well as programming will be expected from the candidates.
