The RC40 Members’ Business Meeting is a chance to exchange information about the status of RC40 membership, budget, journal (IJSAF), program activities and upcoming 2022 elections for the next panel of Officers and Executive Council members. We have a tradition, a platform, and funding to enable people to advance a wide variety of engaged scholarship focused around agriculture and food. Your engagement needed to leverage these resources to advance a more equitable, sustainable, and satisfying world. All RC40 members are welcome to play an active role in the Members’ Business Meeting and in the leadership of this organization. It does not matter how long you have been a member, or how much you publish, or what kind of professional role you play. Your voice and your ideas are needed. We pledge to make this meeting an inclusive discussion, and we aim to engage all RC40 members in dialogue about future plans, activities, and leadership.
If COVID was not a fact of life, the RC40 Members’ Business Meeting would be held in Porto Alegre, Brazil as part of the ISA FORUM, which is now a virtual conference Feb 23-27, 2021 - https://www.isa-sociology.org/en/conferences/forum. RC40 will host 63 papers in 14 sessions at the this international meeting. Please note that conference registration in the ISA Forum is NOT required to join the RC40 Business
Meeting. The Zoom link provided below will provide access to all members.
While it is said you are not supposed to mix business with pleasure, we are willing to take this risk. We will follow the RC40 Members’ Business Meeting with a Social Event. We invite you to participate in a collective game, network, relax, and engage fellow members who share academic and practical interests. Please budget time to join us.
