A new paper of interest to RC40 members - “Rural Policy after Brexit” - is now published online in Contemporary Social Science, the journal of the Academy of Social Science.
The paper reviews the challenges and opportunities which Brexit presents for renewal of rural policy in England. The paper argues that current rural policy is unsuited to the 21st Century and instead the networked rural development concept is used as a basis for suggesting a practical agenda for reforming and updating rural policy. The paper is intended to start a debate on the future of rural policy here, and this may perhaps also have relevance beyond England.
