PROJECT X OPEN CALL FOR EXPERTS

Introduction:Project X, programme partner of the Sustainable Food Systems Programme, is issuing a call for experts to peer review the outputs of one of its programmes, FEED X. This is an opportunity for experts to bring rigor to a unique private sector programme and research to transform the sustainability performance of the global feed industry. The research aims to understand what risks there might be with shifting the feed value chain through scaling up sustainable innovations. It considers the risks through the lens of six themes: environmental, nutritional, ethical, social acceptability, economic, and political. The expected research outputs are six specialised theme reports and one synthesis report looking at the sustainability of feed production, initially focused on the aquaculture industry. The resulting reports will provide allow Project X to short list a number of innovations, evaluate and scale only those that have the greatest potential to actually deliver real sustainability gains, and potential to transform the industry for good. Expertise and time commitment:
We are looking for experts in and around the feed industrial system, and aquaculture value chains.
Up to 5 core reviewers on key subject / expertise areas to commit 3-4 hrs for an in-depth review and assessment process, and up to 10 further experts to commit 1-2 hrs for specific areas or for lighter touch review and broader comments
Timeframe: November – January 2019
